2023 Commuter Cuvée Pinot Noir
The Commuter is a blend of 10 vineyards located in the Willamette Valley. The grapes were fully de-stemmed and put into fermenters. The warm and dry summer gave us concentrated grapes with thick skins, cap management was once a day and mainly pump overs, so as not to extract too much from the grapes. Skin contact was 16 days, then it was pressed off and put to barrel or tank. 75% of this wine was aged in French oak barrels (1% new), 15% in stainless steel tanks, and 10% in concrete tanks. We aged the wine 9 months before going to tank for bottling in August of 2024.
